My Truck Was Stolen S.Palm Beach Area

Hi Guys,

I just signed up on DieselStop, been a frequent viewer throughout the year's of having my truck. Due to the circumstances it's unfortunate I'm signing up after my truck was taken...

My truck was stolen right out of my driveway on Tuesday in the early morning I assume. It was a White 2005 F-350 King Ranch Crew Cab. I know it's late but if you guys see anything please let me know, I know a lot of other people's trucks have been getting stolen throughout palm beach and south Florida area.

I've supplied some pictures for you guys to check out. Just sucks, I took such good care of the truck and for it to be stolen right out of your own driveway is gut wrenching.

The thieves tried to get in through driver's door, I was pieces of the no-key hole style handles all over the ground. When they couldn't get in that way, they just broke the right rear window and got in that way.

There was a rusty philips head attachment left on the ground next to the glass and a weird little silver wrapper that said "Wiring Harness Made in Mexico".

If you guys see anything please let me know. Some other parts that aren't on the photos are:

Full Air-ride suspension
SCT Controller (Go Go Diesel Programmed)

Thank you and be careful with your trucks.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Looks like a great truck Darn thieves . Just curious, and for the benefit of others, did you have any type of alarm or theft deterrent? I installed a Viper 5901 last year after my next door neighbors 02 Super Duty was stolen. Luckily for me that night mine was parked at the airport, or I'm sure they would have taken an 06 diesel with 50K miles over his 02 V10 with 150K miles.

I'm on the West Coast we are seeing a ton of these trucks stolen. I think most end up south of the boarder and are used to run people and contraband across the boarder.

Again, sorry for your loss. I hope you get your truck back in good shape and the thugs who took it get some time...

I didn't have an alarm... we live in a quiet neighborhood, someone is usually always home, neighbors have a look out for anything suspicious that goes in and out but unfortunately not.

I had train horns hooked up with the compressor always loaded instead of the regular horn in case the factory unit would ever go off but still didn't go off.

I think this was something planned, lots of random landscapers go through our neighborhood, I can only imagine the word was passed down that there was a nice truck in the area and the pro thieves showed up to steal it. I could be completely wrong but they all drive super duty's, and they all check out my truck when I'm outside washing it. Just a wild guess.

If I plan on owning another super duty, it's getting every theft device imaginable, Lo-Jack, Ravelco, Magnum window film, conduit boxes behind the door locks. I'm even thinking of installing a concrete block with a chain link attached to the truck, the theft is getting ridiculous.

Did your 2005 have the chip in the key? I can't remember when the Superdutys got the key fob security in them. I am surprised they didn't just use a tow truck.

Would love to get an alarm system like onstar, but instead of shutting the truck off it is hooked up to several sticks of dynamite underneath the front seat...

A bad random thought... Although the recidivism rate for my method has got to be close to zero.

Unbelievably, Super Dutys didn't get anti-theft chips in the ignition keys until 2008, yet the F150s got them in 2001/2002.

And on the F150, I believe the fleet trucks still don't have them. I drove a fairly new (2004) XL F150 the other day and it had a regular key. I just wasn't sure about the Super Duty's - which line had them didn't, etc....

I know on the F150's, the fleet buyers complained about the key w/ a chip because it is so expensive to make extra keys. When you have 100's of them and need to make extra keys for all of them it adds up.

A KR $50k truck (back then) should have had some sort of factory anti-theft, IMHO.

I saw one just like it here in miami, If I see it again, I just might I will take pictures, I doubt it is the same one but it looks identical and a local farmer I seen tending his crops just a few min ago, he had the same grill I noticed.
