    hey...i'm interested in doing the bio thing and i've got the nec. items to do it. just want some guidance on the whole dang process. I've got almost 100 gallons of wvo unfiltered, about 20 gallons of methanol and a somewhat already made processor setup consisting of the water heater, pump, piping, etc....

    Hi, Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I'm not on this forum that much any more. My 6.9 died last year due to a snapped crank.

    As for mods to the truck there are two rubber fuel lines that go to and from the water separator and a couple on the fuel pump that will need to be changed. Any parker hose supplier can sell you the 3/8" ID hose you need. I don't have the p/n handy for the biodiesel rated hose.

    Remember that if you are using the stock lift pump, biodiesel will eventually destroy that diaphragm in there. Also, the fuel shutoff solenoid in the top of the IP is attacked by biodiesel, it's a simple repair so have an extra handy in the truck, when it blows the engine shuts off.

    Don't worry about the o-rings and caps, never had a problem with leaks on those hoses.

    I would recommend putting that fuel bowl on there as the stock water separator leaks air really badly over time. You can get RACOR units on eBay for a good price.

    Hi I got a 87 F250 6.9 and I would like to do all the necessary upgrades to be able to use Biodiesel on this truck. Could you tell me what do I need to buy and where, also if I need to buy a john deere bowl filter to avoid changing the fuel filter all the time. Thanks I appreciate it. ohh I forgot to ask... How much $ did you spend upgrading the fuel lines cause I just bought the return line caps and o rings for about 80dlls at a local shop they didnt want to sell me just the o rings by themselves.
