Buffalohead1 My low pressure sensors don’t activate until I’m down to 50psi. Don’t think I’d change that

larrgh If you have FORScan, or a buddy has FORScan, on a laptop and an OBDII interface such as a bluetooth, WIFI or USB ELM327, you can reset the pressures, else you will have to convince a tech with Ford's IDS to reset them.

you can search this link for TPMS

2011 tire pressure monitoring system

My 2011 F250 truck has placard with tire pressure recommendations of 65 psi front, 80 psi rear tires. I can understand rear tires at 80 psi when hauling my RV. But for untethered driving I would like to try 65 at the rear.

So my concern is the TPMS may flag on the dash if I set rear tires to, say, ~65, as the front are.

Question - will I have to have the truck computer reprogrammed for lower monitoring pressure, set like the front tires (@65 psi). Can it be reprogrammed, or will I run into flack with dealer? If not able to reset like front tires, what is lowest it could be programmed?

I wouldn’t want to lower rears to 65, drive with tire warning display looking at me all times.

Appreciate if anyone did this, offer experiences. Or if a Ford tech here could advise.

TIA.
