Sounds like mine. But I don't know enough about it to know whether or not that is a normal characteristic.

Hypothetically speaking you should be able to use one of the wheel speed sensors in place of the older style VSS that set on top of the diff . It may require some recalibration, or it may work just fine, but it accomplishes the same thing, the rear spring perches are the same from 99 thru 2011, that I know because I am putting a 2011 rear and front in my 2K SD .

The 2005 has the VSS in the differential, the 2011 has the VSS in the trans IIRC .


I've been reading a lot since I posted and it looks like the issue is that it has a speed sensor at each wheel for the stability control. Not really possible to deal work that without a ton of work. Now I'm wondering if there's much of any difference between the 06-07 and the 08-10 axles.
