Not on a Ford... lol
Every since about 86 the oil pressure gauge is nothing more than a idiot warning light. As long as the engine has above 7psi, the gauge registers.
If you really want to know/watch oil pressure, get a aftermarket gauge.

wallerus Well, it would seem like engine oil pressure would be fairly important to monitor, if you lose that everything else is moot. I'm pretty sure my friend can see it on the Ford computer at the shop.

Custom PID for 6.0 PSD

I just bought Torque Pro because I am having a lot of problems with my accelerator pedal position sensor on an '05 6.0 PSD. Do you know how I can read APP1, APP2 and APP3 PID voltages?

Torque Pro PID's help on 07 6.0 powerstroke

Just got the Torque Pro and and added the custom PID's for ford. I also did scan when connected to the truck. But I am getting a lot of PID that are inactive. Bello with the XXX are the ones that wont respond. Anyone have a clue ?

RedStagg I'm on the road right now but if you google the torque app and go to their site you'll find their forum and can search from there.

tlottman Does anyone have a list of the equations that they use for the torque app? I installed the engine link on my iPhone and would like to add some more PIDs to it. What are the PIDs that I should be monitoring? Thanks for the assist.

tlottman DieselMac

Did you ever try the Engine Link app for your iPhone? I saw it on the app store for $6 and was thinking about trying it. If so what are you using to connect it to the OBD2 port? Thanks for the input.

Jfive wish I would have known this before I bought the scangauge II. LOL

ByronF350 Just to add... If you wonder which PID's work you can have the app monitoring the truck then go to add display and pick a display and as you thumb through it you'll see all the active PID's

I know for a fact that EOT for my 6.0 is ONLY read by the "Engine Oil Temp", NOT the one labeled "Engine Oil Temperature". The one labeled Engine Oil Temperature will not give you any reading for a 6.0
THAT Is a critical piece of info!! I hunted all over because the Stock Torque PRO settings offer "Engine Oil Temperature" which displays NOTHING! I thought that maybe the ECU did not offer access to the EOT. I bought a replacement EOT Sensor and new ODB2 Reader trying to figure out why I couldn't see my EOT only to learn that it IS there under a different PID (name). THANKS!!

Also should mention that you need to download the Ford Extended PIDs
Here is the Google Play URL for Torque PRO : https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...g.prowl.torque

To Add the Torque Ford Extended PIDs go to the main screen, select the Android Menu button, select Settings, Select "Manage extra PIDs/Sensors", select the Android Menu button again, Select "Add predefinded set", Select "Ford (Incl PowerStroke)"

After that the "Engine Oil Temp" will be available to use INSTEAD of the Useless "Engine Oil Temperature"
