Degas cap is basically the rad cap, but it is on a smaller tank that is attached to radiator via a hose. It's located next to the brake master cylinder. The newer cap has a much beefier spring that will hold the coolant pressure inside the tank. The original can be weak, allowing coolant to leak out.
The blue spring upgrade was introduced to raise the fuel pressure to help injectors last much longer. It's located on the side of the fuel filter housing. There is a cover with 4 screws and the spring is under that. The newer spring is blue in color and will raise pressure from approximately 45 psi to about 55 psi.

|fordsforever73||Make the charging system and batteries are checked and up to snuff. If you haven't already, the "blue spring" upgrade and the upgraded degas cap are cheap, easy to install, and offer good insurance against sitting on the side of the highway.|

Non routine maintenance
First off, nice to be back here, posting mostly been reading. Had to open a new account long since forgot my old log on.
Anyway I have a 2005 F350 6.0. 168,000 miles on it. Since ive decided to keep it a for more years what non routine maintenance should I be thinking about. alk the routine stuff, fluids, filters etc have been kept up over the trucks lifetime.
ill be taking the camper and family to the florida keys in this Christmas/new years so ill be doing some stuff before we go.
So have at it. What should I be looking at?
