Texkenusmc He drove into some deep water. The shop it is at has been their for 30years and is one of the best in the area so I tend to belive them but I will check it out real good. I figured it all out I will check it over this weekend and start ordering parts Monday.

Steve83 I'm skeptical of that diagnosis... I've never seen a failed F150 PCM later than '93, and even in those, it's just the 3 electrolytic capacitors that leak. The only exception would be from reversed jumper cables, in which case it's not just the PCM - it's the alternator & several other modules.

Anyway... The info you need depends on who you're buying the replacement from. But it's either the long Ford PN, or the short (4-digit) calibration code:

Texkenusmc Not yet I will sat when I get time. I just bought and picked up from a shop it was at. I know it is a good shop so I am going off what the said the issue is.

RT I would expect them to have a sticker like our PCMs. Have you pulled it yet?

Need ECU help F150

I just bought a 2002 f150 for $500 That has less Than 100,000 miles. Has a fried ecu. What info do I need off it to get the right one.
