bugman I think that you biggest problem is that much city driving.

When you do your test try it at freeway or highway speeds and stay out of towns. Even if you have to fill up before you get onto the freeway and then refill right after you get off.

[email protected] Denny: Thank, as I am due for new tires soon, so I will check into a narrower set. Also will try the 100 mile test when I can. Any other suggestions? Really appreciate it, Ron

DENNY Narrow tires and a bed cover should help some. I loose about 1 MPG for every 5 miles over 55 MPH with a 7.3, I suspect yours would be the same. Try a MPG test on open road 55 MPH for 100 miles. I have seen very little if any MPG increase with chips/programers.

Denny - Hand calculated (but very careful), stock tires and rims of 265/70R17, no lift, 65-70 mph, and stock gears of 3.73. About 65%-70% of my driving is in-town. No Blue-Spring upgrade as of yet, (not sure if I need it). Any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks.

MPG - Help

I have a 2006 F250 6.0 PSD that has 130k miles and has just been completely Bulletproofed (ARP studs, oil cooler, WP, EGR, all new injectors and heads) the complete works. Running stock turbo, 4" Cat back (Flopro), S&B CAI, stock gears and tires. I am in CA, so I need to keep the CAT (unfortunately). Driving is in-town and highway and only tow about twice a year. I am trying to find a way to increase MPG now at 12.5-14 combined. No Tuner right now, but have tried (and returned) the Edge CS2 Evolution, after working with their staff for 8 weeks always got worse MPG than without. Any ideas?? Thanks - additional info - 2wd, crew cab, short bed and auto trans.
