DENNY Do you have a rear sway bar? If so consider upgrade to a bigger one. I don't think the tire will help much if you are at max pressure to start with.

klhansen Your tires are the stock size for your truck. For older trucks (my 99 for instance) used 235/85-R16's stock with the 265's as optional. I know that 285/75-R16's have been used on stock wheels, but they'll be a bit taller, and probably won't make an appreciable difference in the sway that you're experiencing. You'd also need to get the speedo recalibrated for the different revs per mile.

rear tires

I have a 2004 F250 Super Duty, single wheel. I pull a 5th wheel and notice that I can get a little sway from passing trucks, etc. Nothing that can't be managed. I am used to a dully and wondering if a wider tire can be put on the rear without fender extenders, etc and using the present rim.

I presently have LT 265/75R16 on.

Any suggestions?
