bismic I have used Dorman bolts before, but didn't even want to do that. Dorman quality is pretty bad IMO. Thanks for the post Jimmy.

Dorman Oil or filter caps

I have had three trucks now with oil leaks at oil filter cap using Dorman caps. The same cap is used for HFCM filter. The filter cap shrinks and the O ring doesn't seal. Two were just seeping but one quit running when HPOP ran out of oil and seems to be OK after a new cap, oil fill, and mess clean up. You can tell it is a problem as a Ford/IH cap gets hard to turn the instant the O ring gets into top of housing, Dorman cap can be run down to stop with little more than hand tightening. The Dorman caps fit the threads loosely before the O ring makes contact where OE caps have little loose motion.

All these people had used Wix integrated cap filters and then realized how much more expensive those were and went back to standard filters and cap. AutoZone, OReilly's, and others have Dorman caps in stock.
