I second checking the hitch weight. Another thing since you didn't mention it...what is the load rating of your new tires? Are the "E" rated?

Re: Tap... Tap... help me identify cab/chassis noise

Try spraying some oil or silicone into the latch mechanism on the rear doors...one at a time to locate the source. I spent many weeks and took the door panel off countless times try to find a similar...

Re: building my own Regulated Return

I also did my own before kits were on the market. 150k miles later and its still working fine. If I were to do it today, I would get a kit with all the parts and, most importantly, some instructions,...

Re: Stainless Steel Brake Lines for 2000 F-350 (can`t find any)

You can try contacting inlinetube.com. They don't have your truck listed, but they do have a lot of materials and tools to possibly make your own if you can not find them pre-made.

The blower is located on the passenger side firewall under the hood. Just open the hood, lean over the fender, look at the firewall right next to the fender. Remove the screws and it pulls straight...

Re: Ok on to the next problem lol ac/heater blower motor HELP

The blower motor is replaced from the engine compartment on the passenger side. As I recall on mine, disconnect the wires, the rubber vent, and three screws. Work out the blower, transfer the fan,...

Re: Found out what my driveline shudder might be

Before digging into the u-joints, you might also relube the slip-joint on the drive shaft. When it gets dry it tends to cause a bump on acceleration. If you have a shudder, you may also need to shim...

Re: Excursion Running Awful, Need Help?

I'll venture a guess that it is the under valve cover harness on one side or the other. It has come loose and you may not be "firing" on all 8 injectors. I had a similar problem a couple of years...

Re: Please read and help, new noises while towing and EGT?

Don't be afraid. You can do this yourself. Just take your time and get a throttle clip to replace the e-clip that will probably get lost when you unclip it. Be careful not to drop any of the housing...

Re: The Dark Side of PMS

Big vote for the ATS housing. That alone fixed me up. Spent way too much time trying to get the e-clip off. It finally flew off into neverland. Just replace it with a throttle linkage clip.

Re: Need help with rear view system

You should not need to do anything to the image. The camera is just looking out the back of the truck. I've got one plugged in to my Alpine and it is great for backing up to a trailer or backing up...

I don't have the STT's, but do have the ST's for hunting and ATR's for everyday. I have no complaints.

Re: Power Inverter Hookup....????

What Racer said. It would also be a good idead to put a circuit breaker in that lead wire. The manual for the inverter should tell you what size wire to use for the length of your run.

Re: Ford remanufactured trannys

Mine went out in the 40k's. Ford replaced it and I've got over 100k on it now with no issues. Hopefully you will also get good service out of your replacement.

Re: 2001 PSD Front Rotor Question

Take the wheel off. Remove the brake caliper. Remove the rotor. My fronts came right off. I had to use a large rubber mallot on the rears.
