Long time since I have posted on this site. I recently purchased a new 2009 F250 with all of the bells and whistles...it now has 3500 miles.

I filled up last Monday morning and didn't add fuel...

Re: Ultra Low Sulpher

[ QUOTE ]
Actually, ULSD has been shipping for as much as a year or more in most locations. I am under the impression that it is against the law to sell LSD anymore for highway use anywhere in the...

Re: High Sulphur Diesel

I might be interested in that too. Here in N. Minnesota, more than half our gas stations don't have ULSD yet. The big refinery in Superior, WI (where most of our fuel comes from) got an exemption...

Re: FX4

Is the reason they limit the options on the FX4 the Harley Davidson version that will be coming out in June? I am beginning to wonder if the FX4 is sort of the "poor man's" HD truck. If you could...

Re: 08 Nav system in radio - who makes it?

Frobozz,
The DVD disk is always within the unit. Once you insert it and push the navigation screen down to cover the DVD slot, you forget about it until the new updates come out and you decide to...

Answers:
1) Yes, the lady (my wife calls her Doris) calls out the street names. It is sort of humorous because the voice that tells you to take a left turn is different than the voice that tells you...

Re: 08 Nav system in radio - who makes it?

From the pictures, it looks identical to the navigation system in our '07 Ford Freestyle. If it is indeed the exact unit, it is a very nice navigation system. Even on the routine drives I find myself...

Count me in.

I just sold my perfect, early build '03 and am waiting to drive '08 in an attempt to decide between a handshaker or an auto. Tough decision...

Re: PICS OF THE NEW 2008 SUPERDUTY INSIDE!

Any pictures showing the manual tranny? I am curious how that will work with the dash the way it is - perhaps you won't be able to get a manual with captains chairs?

Re: Winter time is coming

My opinion is that you are needlessly inquiring, here's why: I have one of very first '03 6.0s (supposedly the biggest piece of junk /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif) and I live in Northern...

If the tailgate really does go perpendicular to the ground, I think it would be a fabulous option for unloading dirt, loading/unloading retaining wall blocks, etc. I hate removing the tailgate...

Forgive me if this has been discussed - I attempted a search and found nothing.

Any listings of the new 2008 MY interior options around yet? In particular, a rear seat DVD system?

Thanks!

Re: turbo failure due to carbon build-up

My turbo at 45K miles was just replaced for the same reason, in N. Minnesota. Dealer said the turbo was coked up. My dealer has replaced 6 turbos this year because of coked up turbos.

Re: 03 Loss of power and fuel mileage

I have one of the earliest 03s and lately I noticed I had a real drop in mpg as well as severe dead pedal (that is what I termed it atleast). It turned out that the turbo was gummed up not allowing...

I had the same discussion a year ago....

Get the 3.7L and the 6 speed manual. We get about 16mpg in town with ours. It hasn't been on the highway so I don't know what highway mileage is like.

Re: Can extreme temperature differences cause a 6.0 to run bad?

This is not dead pedal - I had that when the ICP went.

When this condition occurs, the truck is fully warm and has been run for 15+ minutes on the highway. The heat is blowing hot, idiot gauges...

Can extreme temperature differences cause a 6.0 to run bad?

I park my truck in a heated garage that is at 55 deg F. Lately when it is cold like yesterday morning (-10 deg F) and this morning (-1 deg F) my truck runs goofy on my way to work. It starts fine,...
