I was reading on a blog that the 350 came with a heavier frame than the 250 is this true?

I believe not

A cab and chassis 350 would come with a narrower frame I believe. At least they used to.

if it's single rear wheel what doe's it matter 250/350 you can only tow or carry what the loaded rate of the tire is right?????

Exactly. Unless you go out west where they check weights on private vehicles and can fine you for being overweight. That's why I mentioned the sticker on the door. I routinely had 3500 on my 250 and it towed like a dream. Johnny law would have disagreed though....

The axle tube wall thickness heavier on the F350
Sorry I have still not found parts numbers, but found this,
from Wikipedia:

F-250, F-350 & F-450 pickups
A feature unique to the 2011 Super Duty is the addition of a locking differential. It is only available for the F-250 and SRW F-350 4x4 models with a rear Sterling 10.5 axle. It is a 390.00 USD option [14] There are mechanical differences between the F-250 and SRW F-350, despite looking identical. The diesel F-250 relies on vacuum-boost brakes, while the F-350 relies on Hydro-boost. Both gas versions of the F-250 and SRW F-350 use vacuum-boost. F-250 is a class 2 truck. While the F-350 SRW, F-350 DRW, & F-450 pickup are class 3. F-350 SRW rear axle has thicker axle tubes. The F-250 and F-350 (SRW & DRW) have 13.66 inch front brakes and 13.39 inch rear brakes. The F-450 pickup has 14.53 inch front brakes and 15.35 inch rear brakes. The F-450 has a wider track than the F-350. The F-450 remains available in class 4 as well.

From the 2011 Superduty Tech Spec.
Front Axle is the same for F-250/350
Rear Axle differences for F-250/350 include: Max Rate 6200/7280, Axel Shaft Spline Minor Dia. (in.) 1.36/1.50, Spline Major Dia. 1.50/1.57, No. of Splines (hub end) 35/37.

I hope this answers some questions.

350 ear axle has higher gross rating and 350 has Hydro-boost and the 250 has vacuum boost brakes. Had Hydro on my '05 and now have vacuum, can not tell the difference.

I think they dropped the hydro for 2012 too on the 350's as I've read members on FTE with 350's being surprised to not have it. If there actually is a different part number on the axles, I will humbly stand corrected but say this. It must be a very new change as this has been covered ad nauseum on FTE with many members including myself either going to a dealer or looking up parts numbers online to verify that they were indeed the same and have been for a decade+.

Spec sheet shows different size axle on the F350 SRW. Now I haven't torn mine apart for the sake of looking at a number so this is all I have to go off of until I see an F250 SRW and F350 SRW axle side by side.

There was a post on one of the forums some time ago. Were a 2011 F250 and F350 had the rear ends open up I think they were putting better oil or changing the covers I forget. Anyway they posted shots of the axles of both with calipers showing the F350 was larger as well as the ID bore of the bearings. And I to have seen the Ford specs showing that on the SRW 250/350 the 350 has a larger rear axle same diff housing. This was not some job2 change it was back in job1 days. Who knows??

I know we've had this same discussion on the OBS trucks many times too, and the axle shafts & bearings are bigger WAY back on the 10-1/4" Sterling axles too. The axles are interchangable as a complete axle, they look the same on the exterior, but you need the complete spec number off the tag under one of the cover bolts to get the correct internal parts. The F250 axles & bearings are smaller due to the lower weight rating than the F350 axle.

i think ford added or strengthened a rear crossmember on the 350 dually when they upped the gcwr to 30,000 lbs. Maybe around aug of 2010 when job 2 came out. I dont know about teh 450 pickup frame
