I have seen adds for it and wondered is it any good I haven't heard any good or bad about it. Our local atwoods stocks it and was thinking of using on my 2003 f350 6.0 with 195,xxx miles on it

In a word, Yes.

My injectors were noticeably more quiet. I didn't notice an increase in mileage, but then again I also had a 2000lb hauler bed installed at the time.

Definitely worth the money, IMO.

Im running it right now in my 04 excursion and though I dont think I had an stuck injector I am sure hoping that it keeps me from having one in the future. If it works then it will be well worth the 55 bucks every 4 oil changes. Ive only put 200 miles on the truck since I added it so I will post back after I change the oil again. I plan on using this and stanadyne to keep my truck running good. Sorry I cant be more helpful at this time

IF you find you need to use this more than once you are masking the real problem. FWIW I have used synthetic oils since I broke the truck in at 20K. With 218K on the original injectors I guess I'm doing something right. I have used 2-stroke in the fuel with mixed results. I think I need to drop the dosage down to .5oz per gallon if I use 2-stroke again.

Check out PHP's write-up on Rev-x. Bill posted dyno charts of a 6.0 before and after Rev-x...I think it gained 20hp. It talks about stiction and all that great stuff. And I think it replaces less oil than HSS.

Sorry about the above links not working. It seems this forum will not allow links to the Diesel Garage forum.

If you are interested in the informational links regards oil additives like Rev-X and Archoil AR9100 send me a PM.

Hopefully I'm not violating any rules here.

I was having same issues you described when started in morning when cooler my truck would chug they call it "stiction" was told about Hot shot and Rev-X decided to go with Hot Shot and a synthetic oil change took care of issue.

I just did an oil change in mine. 05 excursion.
i put some rev X in with it and it has seemed to solve my stiction issue. I was having a miss really bad when cold and it got better as it warmed up, but never really went away. I used rev X because one of the local diesel shops had it. So far so good. we will see what it does tomorrow when it is cold.

Ok so I put HSS in my truck and drove it for say 500 or so miles and of course since I just bought the truck 4 months ago I was unsure of what had been done previously to the truck and as to how much the injectors and fuel had been taken care of. I was plagued with no sign what so ever of a hpop failure. blown seal just behind the gear on the pump. I am in the process of a long complete bullet proofing. I dont have any reason to believe that this had anything to do with the HSS so dont misinterpret this post please. In the short time I used the additive I did notice quiter smoother starts which to me tells me it did at least help some. I have yet to use rev x but there is quite a bit of stir that says it is a great product. Hope this helps or at least gives you some info to base your choice on.

The dealer and independent shop said 6 of my injectors were in need of replacement. HSS solved all six. Went back to the dealer and all showed working within spec. I put a half bottle in at every oil change just for maintenance. Great stuff
