This picture was taken (as you can see!) at the Artic Circle turnoff on the Dalton Highway between Fairbanks Alaska and Prudhoe Bay Alaska. The Dalton Highway is also known as the "Haul Road". It was built to allow the building of the Trans Alaska Pipeline. It is roughly 500 miles from Fairbanks to
Headed south on the "Haul Road" in Alaska. The Trans Alaska Pipeline in the background. This combination of camper and truck gave an overall average of 14.7 MPG on the entire 12,400 mile trip. New Hampshire to Alaska and back in 4 weeks. Truck has 4.10 gears and auto transmission.
