Have an 2003 6.0, has 272K miles on it... runs like a champ! It’s an everyday driver and also still tows my trailers just fine... my husband has noticed during oil changes a couple tiny flakes on the magnet but nothing concerning. Fall last year we had all the injectors changed, kept getting a cylinder contribution code on #6 so they replaced it again (just that one this time) then again got the same code, took it back in last week and they found metal flakes in the oil rail, it was not an extreme amount (at least to me) but they made it sound like my truck would blow up if I drive it, and said I risk catastrophic engine failure... my husband and I ordered a sample kit from blackstone to send in a sample but I am here wondering if maybe it could be from them working in there so much and not cleaning it off? Normal wear for such high miles? Any advice.... oh should mention oil pressure is good high and low, maintenance is done regularly. Thanks in advance for your help!
