I got all my playtoys on "except intercooler still waiting on piping" and ran several 0-60 mph runs, the best was 7.2 sec. and the worst was 7.7 does this seem fast, slow, or what should be expeted with the mods I have made, I don't think I put in my sig that the IP was turned up to the max. Also there is no dyno around does anyone have a feel for the Rear Wheel Horse Power that I am making.

I'm really tempted to wave the BS flag... but will do my best to give you the benefit of the doubt.

That is VERY fast for an F-350 crewcab. I'm driving the same thing, dually version, with a Banks sidewinder, upped injector pump and injectors, and might break 10 if I'm lucky.

Are you running on flat pavement with no wind? Are you locking out any gears?

What made the most difference in your time? Propane and Ken's injectors must make a HUGE difference... those are the only things you have that I don't... though your IP may be turned way up high (mine doesn't live up there--I'd roast my motor with the lightest of trailers). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

OUCH!!
Well you are right I cannot sustain that performance for any length of time, on the last run when I got off the gas the pyro was passing 1250 and boost was approx 20 lbs, not for sure because my gauge only goes to 15lbs. Those ARE REAL times, and the propane by far makes the biggest difference, real seat of the pants. I did all the other upgrades at one time, hopefully I will get some intercooler tubing soon and help cool those EGTs off somewhat and maybe lower the boost a little.
According to Ken at DPS when I first did all the upgrades he said by phone, that I would be (including the intercooler) putting approx. 300 to 325HP to the ground "RWHP".If I am not mistaken the 2005 6.0 L 325HP is engine HP and not rear wheel. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

Well if you're tootin around town then I suppose that's not bad... I wouldn't mind 7.x second 0-60s with my truck. Would definitely turn some heads when these guys who own new trucks want to play.

I'll bet you're running pretty closely to a chipped 6.0.

Yup. Those are impressive times. Too bad your not coming to the IDI Weekend. One of the activities is going to a dragstrip where they will allow you to run if you want. Would be cool to see that truck go. Of course your EGT's and Boost numbers scare me, but I'm not you.

The propane is a hugekick for the truck. I know it sounds hard to believe, but the propane will really push your boost up fast and that will really get the truck underway really fast. I have no idea what kind of times my truck would run the 0-60, but I would bet it is pretty quick. Also, Kens IP and Injectors are unreal. My truck will smash the 15psi boost guage with just a smash on the throttle. Scotty

My brothers chiped 6.0 has 423HP, i highly doubt it, what were you using to measure the time with? Im kinda going the BS route as well, i dont mean to be an A$$, just hard to believe.

I got no idea what a chipped 6.0 runs, the time was measured by a digital stop watch activated by me when I stomped the gas and when I passed 60 on the speedo I hit the button again, ran three runs for repeatability. Stock tire size. It's not rocket science.
Check out this, Banks claims 9.54 with no propane, IP mod. or injector mod. is it so hard to believe that I could get 2 seconds faster?
Believe what you want!

Nice times. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I can see the truck turning those times, were you brake torquing at all? For reference, a 7.3L PSD with a 75hp chip will run between 8 and 9 seconds 0-60 no brake torquing.

I doubt that you'll hang with any chipped 6.0Ls, but you'll definately turn some 7.3PSD heads /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif Get her to the drag strip! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No brake torquing, I am afraid of tearing up my converter, although it would probably lower my time abit, I am saving up for a Factory Tech trans shift kit from DPS I am not real happy with my Banks transcommand.

That's what I get without any load! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif Hey, if I wanted to cook PSDs off the line, I'd have bought a CTD! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
