I would look for loose battery cables or drained batteries
How old are batteries

That was the 1st thing we checked because we've had problems with them before. We couldn't even get it started by jumping it this time. This pickup has cost us so much money since we purchased it, it is not even funny. Selling is not an option because the dealer said it depreciated over $6K in a year. That'll teach us to try to trade down to get a cheaper payment!

If the batteries are okay, it could be the starter. It might be the starter solenoid clicking. At any rate, I would look at the batteries and starter. These trucks can be hard to jump start I think.

Very true. Most jumper cables are nowhere near the size needed to carry the starting loads. They're further stressed by trying to charge the batteries at the same time. You'd be better off if the time is available, to fully charge the installed batteries than trying to jump start with puny jumper cables.
