my check engine light comes on whenever it wants and when it does this the truck barely stays running and the code is injection circut/IDM codes detected. Does this mean my computer is bad?

Not necessarily. It probably means the under the valve cover (UVC) injector wiring harness is not making good contact. The fix is to remove the valve cover and replace the applicable retainer (clip) that holds the harness. There should be other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that tell you which side of the engine and which injector. The retainer clips are part number 2C3Z-14A163-AB, and there are three in a package. (I still have two left in my pkg.)
