Did a search but found little on superduties. Two mornings in a row now I have gone out to truck. Its plugged in and starts right up. As I drive down the road the voltage creeps up (with engine speed) towards 18. Turning accessories on or letting off throttle drops voltage.

Shut truck off and restart and it seems fine. Thinking voltage regulator. I know the batteries are clean but I am going to check the alt connections etc tomorrow as well as test with a meter. Is the regulator external or internal on these?

Any other history of this?

Regulator is internal, and if your getting anything over 15v (read with your multimeter) you need to get it fixed ASAP. Over charging will wreak havoc on your batteries and is no good for the electronics either. If it is 18v, man something is going to burn up.:icon_rolleyes:
