I had a thought and not knowing to much about wiring I figured I would ask. I have been researching the hign idle mod for my 03 6.0 and found that all you have to do it jump two wires together with a switch inline and it will jump to 1200rpm. Now being a little hesitant to do so with a remote start in cold weather, as to let the motor idle at regular rpm for 30 seconds or so, I fugured you might be able to wire in a "delay on make" switch. Heres what I was thinking.

1: Pull a feed from the ebrake light (so you can control when you want to use it) to the input side of the delay on make timer.
2: Then put a switch inline of the ebrake light wire for master control.
3: Run the output from the delay on make timer to the relay trigger input.
4: Then hookup the two wires you have to connect to engage the high idle from the truck to either side of the relay switch.

Does that sound like it will work?

The timer I saw was the ELK-960 for low volt input.

Let me know if that will work

I guess I was just making like the one on the newer trucks that need the ebrake to be engaged. Not really necessary. i was looking for a remote start safeguard, a delayed high idle to allow fluid to start moving before it idles up. Do you think it would work though?
