just put the 03 turbo on my 05 truck. man does that thing whistle sounds like a freeking jet plane. taking the factory one off was the hardest part. the back bolt next to the y pipe was the hardest. it would be easier to completely remove the down pipe it would give you more room. was it worth it, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif you betya. sounds great with the mbrp turbo back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

Put mine on about 2 months ago. You outta hear an 03 turbo with a straight exhaust. Sounds sick.

GJFord What is the advantage of adding an 03 turbo to and 05?

Was just up in your area last week, we have proprety in Newport and also stayed in the jellystone campground on 321. Man I love it up there!

My kids love the NASCAR speedway, once there I is very hard to get them to leave. 7 hrs this last time.

well not really any performance increase it does seem like it spools up quicker /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif. most people do it for the whistle of the turbo . it is alot louder /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif. yes i love it here in TN. it is a great place to live.

I've never posted on this side so this might be old news to you guys. As you can see by my sig. that I have an 03. About 1 1/2 yrs. ago I installed a KN cold air sys. and gutted the cat. Since then I've had more people ask me what I've done to my truck to make the turbo sooo loud??? Well, this morning I installed a turbo back MBRP Cool Dual sys. HOLY GUACAMOLY!!!! Sounds really great but I will probably have to spend a mo. saying hail marry's for all the foul language spewing from my driveway. Man, what a [email protected]#*H!!!!!! Words to anyone who is concidering installing one of these systems by themselves,,,,,,, DON'T. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif It's well worth the money to pay someone else to do it for you.
By the way,,, what is the difference between the 03 and newer turbos?

the 03 turbos have 10 vanes and the newer ones have 13 0r 14 i think cant remeber didnt go out in the garage and look, but as far as i know that is the only difference. correct me if im wrong /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vulnerable.gif

Try the early '03 turbo with the removable ring. There are other '03's running at the track I frequent, but they won't run me. They seem to think a Bean's setup. Those '03's with a straight pipe come nowhere close to the sound of mine or a Bean's.
