Hi, Im a new member but i have been reading forum for a long time. wanting to change my 05 turbo and put on an 03. does anyone now the part number for the turbo and pedistal? I found a place that sells cores. and thinking of having one rebuilt. unless someone nows of a good place to find one. Thanks for any help. just wanting more whistle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Thanks , that is what i was looking for, did you do the swap? does it really make a big difference in turbo whistle? Thanks again.

I haven't done it yet, no. So I cannot comment on the difference in whistle.

The place that sells cores dont have that turbo just checked the site havent called them yet. Does anyone know where i could find one?? or get one rebuilt? Thanks

try ebay, thats wear i got mine. know what you are looking for cause some of the people on there have know idea what they are selling...ie some guy thought that an 05 part#ed vgt turbo was for a 2001 superduty! just keep your eyes open!

I have an '03 that I think is overboosting (driving empty is no problem) while towing. If I take it to the dealer is he going to replace with an '03 turbo or some newer style that may not perform as well? I'd just like to know what I should expect before I take it in. I seems to overboost more when tow/haul is engaged. Its only under heavy load on a grade I'm afraid to keep my foot in it for fear of blowing off another intercooler hose. Any advice? Thanks
