I have both an 04 and an 06 f-350, my question is this: the 06 has a way tighter turning radius than the 04, is the turning radius due solely to the steering box? and if so can i switch them? my 06 torched in my driveway due to a short in the block heater or where ever it was. I want to take the box out of the 06 and put it into the 04 if it will make it have a tighter turning radius.

thank you

It's not the just the box. When the changed the suspension in 05 to the coil springs they changed abunch of stuff, hubs, knuckles, springs, radius arms just to name a few.

You need to swap axles too since all that stuff has the mounting tabs welded to the axle, The knuckles also have blocks limiting how far you can turn the wheels.
