Hey guys... my truck has 112,000 mile on it and the battery light came on, then off(off for a week) and now it's back on again(yesterday). We plugged the scanner in and it read no faults and the alternator is putting out 13.38-13.6v. I disconeccted both batteries and cleaned the cables and ends thinking maybe a bad connection but it did not help. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

I would say its the alternator, one function of the alt. is to turn off the batt light when it senses over a certin ammout of voltage. its been a while since ive looked at the alt on my truck, but there should be a terminal or wire what has an "R" standing for relay, most likely stamped on the alt housing. check with a volt meter that there is about 7 volts at that.
