Is it possible to swap the bigger 05-06 brakes onto an 04? Anyone done this yet?

You can do about anything you want as long as you have a big enough hammer and a wallet to match....

Sarcasm out of the way, you would be further ahead to research aftermarket systems (if any are available). On the rear, it will mean replacing hubs, rotors, caliper supports, calipers and Lord knows what else.... from what I see in the shop, the front is going to be a zoo.... front wheel bearing/hub assemblies will not interchange... no use in looking at new steering knuckles because they wont interchange... and then there's new axles - I'm not sure if stub shafts are available....

Knowing what the prices are (roughly) here in the Great White North, I'm thinking it would be cheaper to trade the truck in on a new one....

Thanks for the info Grampy_Jim, sounds like more than I want to get into. Thought it might be doable if they had just added bigger rotors and maybe a differant caliper brackets.

Caught me at a rare time that I'm using a computer ....

No, they won't just swap. Check out this album:

Your better off picking up a set of PFC or Hawk pads if you want a lower pedal effort, and just keep the OE calipers and rotors. Unless you got hard spots or uneven wearing in the rotors, then just a set of new OE rotors; nothing fancy.
