i want to use the grill bumper and headlights from an 05 what do i need to do or do they just bolt in? has anyone done this? i have an 04

Well, it is not a straight bolt in. The G.O.R (fiberglass panel headlights and grille attach to) is different. The differences are: the headlight holes are cut out larger and the grille clips are in a different place on the lower side of the grille. You have to switch it to start with. You also have cut the 04 headlight harnesses off and put on the new harnesses for the 05 lights. If you have foglights, you have to change the wire harness to them also. The clips are different in the way they attach to the bumper. I have done several of these. It takes a little while to do it. Not too bad though. When you change the headlight harnesses, be sure to solder the wires together and cover them in tape. If you have any other questions, let me know.

is the bumper different too? would you mind making a list of all the parts i need to get to do the swap -that way i dont have to go back when i find i need more stuff. thanks alot for the help

That is a PERFECT description of what you need and what you have to do. I couldn't have done any better myself.

You now longer have to cut and splice the headlight harness!! We now have an upgraded headlight harness that will convert a 9007 bulb harness to the 9008! The conversion harness is only slightly higher in price then our 9007 harness . JS.
