Is it a two tone color or solid?

Solid Black and Saddle leather would be sweet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

King Ranch has 5 colors now - green, blue, cooper, black and white. All are two-tones with Arizona Beige as the accent color.

Surf to www.sunrisefordfleet.com and download the order guide. The paint and interior color are spelled out in the order guide.

Sorry to correct you Smokey, but I believe he is asking if the truck is two tone - and yes it is - You can ONLY get the King Ranch in two tone - Black and Arizona Beige. I just picked up an '06 King Ranch in True Blue/Az Beige this week. Bought if off the lot and it is awesome. I'll try and post some pics. The 20" rims look really good. The King Ranch seats are a little too dark for me, but boy are they comfortable.

oh look, ford has figured out a way to add more combinations to their truck line options. they are such big liars with "its too complicated" to build a king ranch with a manual trans, even though they already build it in the other trucks, and there is no separate line for the king ranch or the ones with the manual trannies. but oh well glad to see they added black, the blue i dopn't think goes well, but glad to see that if someone wants it they can get it. i mean after all the colors are there and the paint machine could give a crap less if its painting it pink or orange or any color, its all the same to it. this slush box truck will probably be the last if ford can't seem to get it together. Exterior colors are a pretty trivial add to a model line. If the color is already in the plant, they can run the trucks with it.

Manual transmission is a bit harder as the wiring, steering column, and other options might not allow an easy add to the King Ranch Configuration. I notice the HD edition you can only get the manual with a V-10 and not the diesel either.

It is not a matter of seperate lines, it is a matter of what the existing configuration can support. Similar to "You can't have a sliding rear window without the tinted glass"

i don't have the new order guides, are you sure you said this right, that you can get an HD, (i am guessing harley davidson, but maybe i am wrong) with a manual but only with a v-10?? thats news to me, i have been told no manuals with HD or KR, period.
and as far as your wiring and stuff of the like, you or me can get a lariat with the heated seats, electric 4x4, and the key pad thing on the door, with a stick. the king ranch is no different. its simply a preference of ford, they want to do it that way and won't change for their customers. it has nothing to do with wires or cutting or any of that crap. the engines and trans are put in the frames before the bodies are put on so again, no conflict there. they can build it in a lariat, they can do it with harley and king ranch too.
and ford continues to lie, or shall i say, not speak the truth. thats all. BILL

I was looking under the Ford Vehicles site under "Options" and "6.8L Triton® 3 Valve V10 engine with 6-speed manual overdrive transmission" was listed as an option under the Harley Davidson edition.

However it does not allow me to choose that option when building the vehicle.

Let me dig out my ordering guides and see what I can find.

Could it be the unique center consoles that certain trim pkgs use that prevent the 6 spd manual trans? ( at least in Ford's eyes) Buying the top of the heap truck and having to go to a XLT/Lariat console or having to go to the split bench which could also possibly require an upholstery change for a low voluume vehicle.

That was my thought initially but the HD Edition shows an option for a manual. That put a wrench in that theory. I haven't crawled underneath a 6.0 so I am not sure where the punchout for the handshaker is. If it is that close to the console, that would explain it (and the ford vehicles site is wrong).

No problem. I was wrong. Too many irons in the fire, so I didn't read the order guide carefully enough. But it's all better now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif

one deal dip***t tried to tell me that too, but as we all know, the seats, and or consoles are not any different in size or shape. and as far as the hole for the shifter. they used to cut all the cabs the same and use a cover plate. best i can figure by looking they do that the same now. but in the even that they don't and they cut each one with a water jet or some other device, they can do the same for this truck as they do for the xlt/lariats, and work trucks. point is they already do it, just like they already have the paint, etc. NONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT WOULD LIKE A HARLEY OR KING RANCH WITH A STICK IS ASKING (OR EXPECTING) FORD TO DO ANYTHING THAT THEY DON'T ALREADY DO.

and i think i am confused, can you or can't get a manual in a harley truck??? even with a gas works for me. this new 6.0 is horrible on gas (with the auto) and diesel is more than gas, plus i looking at getting a motorhome instead of my 5th wheel, so i could go for a gasser these days. so can i????? No.

In fact, there is no such thing as a 2006 Harley pkg.

For 2005, the Order Guide said:

[*] Requires 6.8 gas or 6.0L diesel engine, SRW, automatic transmission, ESOF, and 4X4 (plus CrewCab with Lariat trim).

I know that they are switching back to f150's for 2006 but I read somewhere that Ford had signed a agreement with Harley to extend building them past their current contract period and it mentioned the Superduty in 2007. This is different from what I thought but guess just have to wait and see.

Ugh, the Ford Website is wrong then.

Click here for the "Ford Website". Then please explain to me how you managed to get it to let you "build and price" a 2006. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The 2006 Order Guide does not include a Harley Davidson option (unless they changed the 2006 order guide recently). You can download your copy from http://www.sunrisefordfleet.com/download_center.htm
