I'm asking this with my tail between my legs (since it sounds like I'm a lost little boy asking for loose change to buy a chocolate bar lol).....

I recently 'lost' my 95 PSD (love it dearly) and after reading for a while have decided to pick up my new truck:
'06 F350 Crew, Long bed, Lariat, 36k miles, leveling kit, 35" BFG's.

I've read and read and read, and need a few ?'s answered:

1. Will these void my warranty?
Exhaust?
Tuner?
Air kit?

2. I've asked the dealer ( who I think now hates me for buying out of state :icon_rolleyes:) for a Ford VIN check and it came back with no problems. Is that an Oaisis?

3. My driving habbits vary - tow a little, speed a little, cruise a little, and it's a daily driver. Should this help prevent VVT and EGR problems? Or should I do more?

I have some more ?'s but don't want to clog ya'll with a book. Basically, I'm asking those of you who have much more experience with the 6.0 for recommendations to prevent as many headaches possible, as I don't have $k's in waiting to replace high dollar items.

Thank you in advance...

Michael.

The more you read you will realize some dealers are ok with mods, some not. Now with the economy, I hear Ford is pushing to review in more detail these warranty claims with an eye towards saying no when mods have been done.

What you want to do I believe will certainly void your warranty.

I'm not looking to wring out Horse Power, any mod I do is for efficiency. I don't race the truck, but enjoy romping on it from time to time.

I've studied lots of manufacture's claims and deicded on Banks economind tuner, but can't get much of an answer from my local dealer. I'll hold out till I know for sure I reckon.

I know that nobody is a fortune teller, and appreciate any words anyone can give. It's sad, but I can't stop thinking that I only have 2 more years to blow Head Gaskets under warranty. :icon_rolleyes:

any modifications can void your warranty, any, even tires. Most or some dealers ignore the parts depending on which parts and what damage. There are no guarantees where or if it will fail. An aftermarket air filter can cause poor filtering and ruin the turbo or if you dont seal it or service it correctly the mas air flow meter gets coated with oil and reads wrong. aftermarket exhaust is okay from the cat back, if you remove the cat the dealer may deny you warranty, The ford rep almost for sure will. A turner will for sure 100% if they want to be a jerk about it. We hear it all how you never tow with it and it is just monitor egts and better mileage but sometimes our hands are tied by the one we are asking to pay the bill. (Ford) either remove it befoer it comes in or don't use one.
