So, I've got a good deal on a take off bed for an '08. It includes the bed, tailgate, tail lights, and bumper. I was going to replace my tailgate since it has a dent in it anyway, so this seems like a good way to get a new look for the whole rear end. I don't plan to use the bed, just sell it.

My question is; I know some guys are working on the Front end conversions which take a bit of "re-engineering" to get it to work, but is there anything that may be a problem when I go to swap the Rear end? I checked all the mounting bolts for the bed and they are in the same spots as my '02(not that I am using the bed), the bumper appears to bolt up the same, tail lights have the same shape(stick out from the sheetmetal now, but that doesn't cause a fitment problem), and the tailgate will fit as long as I use the hinge bracket off the '08 from what I have read. Is there anything else that would cause a problem? How about the wiring to the tail lights and bumper? Anyone know if the connections are different on the '08's? Sorry, I know this is a lot of questons. From what I understand, the changes to the '08 are only different toward the front and shouldn't cause a problem out back.

What do you think?

I think you're good to go, but I thought someone said the reverse light socket was different on the 08's.

As for the 08 nose conversion, I'm still waiting to see how those 2 other members make out with their swaps.
