I guess she just runs out of fuel on the top end. Any comments on what to do next. My injectors are bone stock as is my fuel system.

I'd start by shimming your regulator another 10psi. Stock injectors perform best in the 68-72 psi region.

Have you checked your pressures? HPOP pressure? Could be your problem. AD's also starve for oil(speaking from experience only). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Whats the procedure for checking the HPOP? Never done that before, guess its time I learn. Ill try bumping my fuel pressure up a little bit too.

That truck was flying off the line pretty well, then she would just sink like a rock. Just totally ran out of breath. I know there is an extra second in her somewhere; with out doing injectors or turbo.

Kanman your times arn't so bad compared to the weight of the truck, I would think a mid 15 would be pretty respectable, who does your programming for your chip? And check into testing your HPOP. Post back what you find out?

Joey, thanks bud. Ill get me a gauge made up tomorrow.

Actually I was a little shocked she ran that fast. I was hoping to just break into the high 15's. But, looking at the 1/8 mile MPH and then the 1/4 mile MPH times got me to thinking something is bad wrong.

My chip is a standard 6 position TS Performance chip.

Not trying to steal this thread, but I ran times close to Kanman's , so are these trucks supposed to have more top end /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif , and what is the proceesdure in checking the hpop ? my truck only has 23k on , do they go bad that soon ? well anyway these are my times.

R/T .677
60' 2.095
330' 6.457
1/8 10.187
mph 65.79
1000' 13.457
1/4 16.248
mph 80.51

I sould note that the truck is a flatbed with a rackbody style headboard (lot's of wind drag) , please let me know if those time's look somewhat normal /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif , If not what should I start checking? like I said , not trying to steal this thread just having simmular problems. thankx

I was running 15.4's when I had just my chip, exhaust, and intake. One of my runs was as follows:

reaction- .0828
60'- 1.9717
1/8 ET- 9.7335
1/8 mph- 68.62
1/4 ET- 15.4260
1/4 mph- 86.21

I'd say you're right about where you should be with those mods for your weight. Of course, mine's running slightly faster since then. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

So whats with the presure? You might get a little more with some tweakin with programs? But as big as your truck is I would be pretty happy with what you got
