could it be true? physcostroker say's it is. in the new dieselpower he's claiming to be at 1600 ft-lb's on STOCK rods. wouldn't that put him right around 900hp or maybe a bit more?

I don't think those are the participants. I think that's people that submitted apps and didn't make it. There was more than 17 trucks shown. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

I always question that magazine... especially those Challenge participants.

And as for psychostroker... 1600 ftlbs on stock rods /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
His article left a bit to be desired... like hard numbers or even what tuning he is running. DP did state that there will be a full feature on in the coming months. But for now, I'm calling BS.

Was on this board.

Bryan was pioneering the power limits of these motors and “big oil” before most of the others. I think Frank and Richard were the only two that were making “respectable” power before him. If you weren't on the boards circa '01 & '02 then you should go back and search.

If Bryan says it made that much torque, then I would believe him. I have never seen him make up numbers before and every time I second-guessed something he may have said I researched and found it to be true.

If I had to guess, the quoted numbers probably were done on TTS’s dyno (load?). Now if the magazine rounded the numbers Bryan gave them, that’s a different story.

ya the numbers on the board for the dp challenge are the guy's guestimates of what there trucks make, most are very laughable. physcostroker's truck was had it's own "small" article.
