I have a 1990 F250 with a 7.3 IDI. Truck starts fine, but the wait to start light stays on after it starts. My son was driving it, and then bought another identical truck, so my ol' truck has been parked for a couple months. He said it was not doing it when he was using it. I started yesterday, for first time in awhile. Idled for about 20 minutes, and the wait to start light never went out. Any ideas? Thanks

It could be a short in the wiring to the WTS light. Can you tell if the glowplugs are working properly? If you leave the key on like you are starting it the glowplugs should stay on about 10-15 sec. You can hear the relay click off or the volt gauge will go from 8 to about 12 when they cycle off.
