Take a look at what they cost new, then ask that question again.

Seriously, though, I've asked for $8000 for my truck. Even with all the goodies it has, I'll never get more than $6000 for it if I'm lucky.

Which is why I'm keeping it as long as it runs reliably... unless new truck prices come down or I can otherwise justify making truck payments instead of putting away to savings/investments every month.
