Are there quick tips to changing clutch pack on this setup? I have never pulled a clutch on a 4x4. I have found in my experience that there is usually a better way than the "book"
(ie. different sequence) I have a squelling sound on clutch out that sounds like a throwout bearing ready to give out? My uncle always said "if it is working don't screw with it" I have never takin his advice.
I posted this in the engine and drivetrain section and was told it was the wrong forum??
I guess I need to know the language. clutch work questions I thought was part of the drive train???

A good transmission jack and a flat surface to work on helps bunches. Other than that the only tip I can give is go buy about 4 peices of metric allthread about 12 to 15 inches long. Screw these in to a couple of bolt holes on each side of the tranny. That way it stays lined up right. If your truck still has the dual mass flywheel it would be an excellent time to ditch it. Cause if it hasn't failed it will.
