Got in my truck today and couldnt really get over 30mph very easy. Kept cutting power back and fourth and a loud rushing air noise from airbox intake. Ive been hearing this for the last few months at start up for abt 20 seconds. Today i got in my truck and cranked up and started driving. I normally let it warm up a couple minutes but this morning i didnt and it started doing this. Note- Just had fuel pump replaced. Thanks in advance.

It's your exhaust back pressure valve on the exhaust side of the turbo.

It is suppose to aid in quicker warm ups in colder weather.

You can disconnect the electrical to it and wire it open. The plug for it is almost under the turbo.

If you had someone do your fuel pump they may of connected it back up

Have you opened the hood & looked inside the air cleaner? When I bought my '97, rodents had packed half the hood insulation & a few pounds of acorns into it.
