Just sold my F-150 last weekend and am wanting to get a 2000-2003 7.3 PSD, my question is:


Do years from 2000 to 2002 have the options of: Moonroof, Heated Seats, Reverse Sensors, all as an option on one truck?


I've see some 03 6.0's with all these options but none on the prior years. Was the moonroof not an option prior to 2003?

The 2003.25 (mid-year change) introduced the 6.0/Torqshift, heated towing mirrors w/signal lights, and moonroof. Prior to then, you could get the heated seats (in a Lariat) and the reverse sensors with a 7.3, but not the moonroof or heated mirrors.

Under "What's New" in the 2003 Order guide dated 12/01/02 (after the 6.0L engine replaced the 7.3L engine at 2003.25):

• Power slide moonroof available on Crew Cab XLT and Lariat trim

So don't look for it on SuperCabs or regular cabs, and don't look for it in combo with a 7.3L engine or XL trim.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like if I want my creature comforts with the roof, seats, and sensors I'm going to have to look at a 6.0.

Yes a good moon/sun roof installer could install one but I prefer the factory headliner, switches, and seals. I know aftermarket companies offer a lifetime no leak warranty but to me some of them dont have that "factory" look.



Just my .02
