Starting my new 7.3 build log, you guys can follow along and see how far I get. Going off to college in August so got a budget also! Heres the truck and what ive dont so far. Love this truck tho, plan on getting her going to hang with my 6oh! Should be fun!:grin2:

2000 F350 SRW Extended Cab Long Bed 4x4 Lariat w/ 86,001 miles!

-4 Skyjacker Nitro 8000 shocks and struts
-Tuff Country 4 inch suspension lift w/ ez ride leafs
-5 inch diamond eye straight pipe
-4 inch diamond eye downpipe

What I NEED to do...............
-Paint either cab or bed cab is gold bed is white

-Bed liner

-35 inch tires
-Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer

Anything I am forgeting? Anything I should do? SuggestionS?

Its a project truck that I plan on keeping for a LONG time.

Also if someone could put up a list of parts that can swap in from other trucks into mine for better perf. that I can pick off trucks. I know a couple for example I mean like: 6.0 Trans Cooler, 7.3 Van Turbo, I think the older 7.3 had a bigger turbo housing? Stuff like that I got alot of junkyards here thanks!

Wow your lucky to pick up a 2000 truck with low mileage on it.

It's a lot easier to prep and paint the bed than prep and paint the cab, especially if your doing a change of color.
Use good quality 2K paint, and remember the prep work is the most important part of the re-paint.

Bed liners tend to promote rust, as the water can't completely escape.

38R will be sufficient for your needs.
If your changing turbo's you could fit new bellowed up-pipes and ebpv delete, Garrett Non-EBPV/ Blank Pedestal 99.5-03 7.3L Ford and a hi -flow exhaust outlet, that will give you new O-rings for the turbo and pedestal and save problematic leaks down the track.

Not sure about the trans swap, 5R110 no go, the 4R100HD with a 6.0 cooler will do the job.

Gauges , trans temp, egt, fuel pressure and boost.

Single steering will save you some funds rather than this, skyjacker dual steering stabilizer.

Did you consider the KC38r? CNC 4 line kit?

Hutch mod, HPX and 360* trust bearing when you install your WW2.

I don't think the fast fuel system is a must. The stock fuel pump is really good, maybe a helper/lift pump....

What are the HP number you're trying to reach?

Around 450-480rwhp don't want crazy power. Already went with oem steering box ?. And yes the
Fass is just because I WANTED it lol, and to prep for future hybrids

Thanks so much ! Do you think I can run 35s on a 4 inch lift with just the stock stabilizer because single and dual are pretty close In price. I don't know if I wanna delete the ebpv I kinda like it to warm it up, but is it going to be a huge difference with out it, what benefits would o get from the bellowed uppipes and or ebpv deleted? Finally could i use the older IH bellowed up pipes from older truck in a JY?

Thanks these are great suggestions! I prob won't do the hutch and HPx until later on. And I'm having my billet wheel put in today so I thing getting the thrust bearing and waiting another week for it probably won't work, I may just go for the KC38R it looks sick thanks so much for telling me about it!

Hpx is not a must. But for 50$ and 15 min to install, the 7.3 sure like it

If I remember 35 are the biggest you can get with a single stab so you will be fine with the single. But dual look nice IMO ?

I don't see any intake in your list, and if its in your sign, sorry can't see it on my phone. S&B and the AIS are great system but cheaper you can go with the AFE big boost from rr orthe 6637 mod

To get around the 500hp

And injectors 200cc (i think) or 175cc for around 450hp

May forget something... Hope blue will shim in to confirm ?
