2000 PSD, U drive down the road the O/D light flashes, you can hear relays going on and off, you take the key out and the climit control fan stays running, the speedometer don't work.
It all happened at once, I tried to pull the codes and the only code I got was vehicle speed sensor (p0500) and thats far as it would go. It still runs and shifts fine.
Anyone have any ideas?????
vehicle is totally stock besides some bigger tires

The only thing I can think of is possibly a leak in your windshield/cab trickling water down onto your PCM. But that is a WAG.

Or possibly water in your under hood fuse box. Another WAG.

The OD light flashing usually means bad speed sensor in the rear and goes with the speedo saying 0.

The other stuff, who knows? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif Bad or loose connection from speed sensor causing problems?

We have had the same problem in our trucks(me and my dad) the speed sensor is the major cuplrit here. it is the sensor on the top of the rear end. Swap that out. Now as for the sounds you are hearing take a looka at your fuse box my dad had weird buzzing noises coming from his as well and the box had to be replaced. I would be willing to bet it is the same issues. But I would start with the speed sensor and work from there.

Had a similar problem. Except didn't have the o/d light flashing. Your symptoms of the heater fan continuing to run after key off, no speedo, relays clicking. Just like mine. Check for a water leak again. Fuse box on mine was getting wet. Doesn't take much. I had a windshield leak. Never noticed it until the problems began. Good luck.
