Hello all,
I’ve got a 2001 F550 7.3 with a ZF manual transmission. I’m having issues with intermittent no throttle response. The issue happens when coming off a downgrade while the throttle isn’t being pressed. Then when trying to accelerate the pedal does nothing, no check engine light comes on. You can push the clutch in and the pedal begins to work again. The engine rpm’s don’t have to be too high when coming off the downgrade for this issue to happen. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Probably the throttle/pedal going bad. Wife's truck had the same intermittent issue, with meter the and monitor the pedal showed fine but would come and go at random times. Got a new/updated version with mounting bracket from rockauto, her's is 02 yours being a 2001 you might have the older dual plug or the newer single plug

Get a spray can of electrical contact cleaner and douse the Idle Validation switch on the pedal assemble. It may just be getting gummy. It just thinks you haven't pressed the go-pedal if the switch doesn't change state.
