hey guys, i need some advice.

i have 252K miles on this truck and never had the valve covers removed, but it looks like i will need some injectors. given the age, i will replace all 8 of them. truck has only the blue spring update and no tuner. completely stock.

ICP number 3 has failed and will be replaced, along with a new pigtail, during this project as well. i have the IPR kit too so i will probably recondition it too.

my 1st question is which injectors should i choose and where to procure them? OEM, after market, EBAY???

second question, while i am replacing the injectors, are there any other "must do" changes/upgrades that i should perform?

truck manufacture date is 4/3/2003; engine number 6.0HU2Y009.

thanks in advance for your comments!

Use motorcraft rebuilts. Lincoln diesel specialties has them pretty cheap, relatively speaking. There are a few others places but 1500 is about as cheap as they will get.

no issue with returning cores that are pre-2004?

Yes, you can use these in full sets. I have replaced full sets on first gen 6.0's with these.
Lincoln Diesel has been great to deal with and fast to ship.
