I recently bought a 2004 f250 6.0. I have been having an issue with it cranking and starting but dying almost immediately then it might run for a few seconds and die then it will fire up and run smooth for the rest of the day with no issues whatsoever starting. It will idle and run fine with no power issues. I changed the fuel filters and the lower filter was almost black, but the upper looked fine. A little dirty, but not bad by any means. I am going to let it set a day before trying to start it and see if this might have been my issue. Does anyone have any other thoughts?
I do let it set with the key on for about 10 seconds before starting every time I get in it. The FICM was also just replaced before buying the truck.

I read that it could be the injectors but it idles and runs smooth after it gets starting for the rest of the day and never smokes. Is this normal for injector issues?
