Hey, I remember about the 2005 badges peeling paint. Is that just the F-?50 Badges, or are the "Powerstroke" door badges peeling also?

I want to put some on Rachel's new Excursion and I'm trying to decide between the 03-04 badges or the 05's.

I have tried to make the best of it. Paid my kids $1 to peel off what Ford "could" get to stick. This one is in the tail gate and the ones on the fenders are 1/2 peeled off. Kids are to short for those so /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif.

I have never heard anything about the door badges peeling. I have a set I never installed and they seem to have sticky paint /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif There is better options for there you no /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Against the advice of guys on this site I bought the '05 badges. Both my fender badges and my tailgate badge is peeling. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif The door badges however have been on for almost a year with no problems whatsoever. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Got my '05 last December. I'm on my second set of new badges. I've been told its from driving through car washes...........Guess the truck is a "Superduty" except for the badges.

CAR WASHES!!!!!

That has got to be the STUPIDEST excuse that I have EVER HEARD!

My 03 has been thru THOUSANDS of no touch car washes and my badges look like they did the day I bought it...

It is obvious to me that the vendor who supplies the badges to Ford has a bit of a problem with this batch of their product.

If you vehicle is under warrantee, you may consider a friendly visit to your dealer EACH & EVERY time they begin to peel, OR just do the paint removal thing and enjoy the chrome look that some other S.D. owners do on purpose?

I love it when the guys in the "Big-Rigs" notice the "Endless Road" Badges on the tailgate or the front fender and give me the thumbs up as they honk their horns....Of course, they really smile when I honk my horns too!
