I know a lot of people have been wondering about the weight of their truck.

I took mine to the scales today. With a full tank of diesel, the usual 10-15 lbs of crap floating around the truck, and me (200lbs), it weighed in at 8,240lbs. Steer wheels were 4880lbs, drive wheels were 3360lbs.

Deduct my weight (from the steer/front wheels) and that's a curb weight of 8,040lbs.

My truck has every option EXCEPT the following:
- Upfitter switches
- PTO
- Dual alternators
- Sunroof
- Captain's Chairs.

Since we have a GCWR of 26,000, that means it can "only" tow 17,760 lbs. 18,300 is what they advertise. Apparently this is on a light/no-option truck.

I sure would like to know where they put all the weight at! I've peeked behind every panel in the interior of this truck. I bet it has WAY less metal then the wife's grand caravan.

Hope this helps somebody out there!
