I just finished the install of the Black cloud desiel Harness on my the EX. Took 15 minutes and WOW what a difference in light out put. This Should be stock from FORD. The harness also keeps the low beems on with the highs. Not only am I satisfied with the harness but the service from Black Cloud is top notch. 2 day dilivery and they even sent me their 9005/9006 harness at no charge so that I could see if it works and then pay for it. I haven't installed it yet but I will let you guys know how that works out. Thanks again to the guys at Black Cloud Desiel for everthing.

Thats going to make quite a bit more heat that will be trapped inside of a plastic assembly. Plastic, and heat do not mix. Especialy not when you have the air pressure from going 70+ down the interstate pushing on the plastic lenses. Any of you who think I am stupid go uout anddrive your truck around for a while with just the low beams on then get out and touch the headlight lense. Just the low beams will make it fairly warm.

No problems with this so far and last night I drove around like that for about a 1/2 hour.

Appreciate some enlightening here--I'm aware of the better headlight output if you upgrade the harness, just don't want to run wires across the radiator. Does this harness go across the radiator or does it work as separate side connections?

What is the 9005/9006 harness?

Thanks

The harness, goes on top of the radiator just under the top mounting brackets. There is already a harness running there, and I usually advise customers of zip tieing to the other harness. Its will very clean once you get it installed. There no issues with doing it that way. The Harness has a protective sleeve.

The 9005/6 harness, is a simillar harness with relays, but used for the fog lights. It has 2 plugs on each side (one for 9005 and the other for 9006 bulb type), and supports 2 additional fog lights on top of the factory one's. It was originally designed for the Chby trucks, but we made a slight modifictaion to allow it to work with the fog lights.

We sent Augie a free one to test on his truck.
