i have a 2006 ford f-350 super duty longbox fx4, today i sunk the truck in about a foot of quicksand, i put it in 4 low and popped out, as i went to put the truck back in 2 hi, it would not drop out of 4 low, i love this truck but the d#@&*( thing has got me worried $$$$$$$$$ if you know what im saying, i have tried unlocking hubs, switching in neut, backing up and now im at a loss, if anyone knows how to bypass back to 2 hi or what part i should replace... please help im at a total loss.........my truck is broke:mah:

Read the owners manual. There is a very specific sequence. My uncle did the same thing. Drove it 60 miles to me in 4 low. We got the owners manual out of the glove box, followed the procedure and presto. Done. Seems like it might have had to be in park with the brake on? Can't remember exactly, but it was very specific. And it worked first time.

just have to pop the transmission in neutral sitting still and flip it to 2x4. That should do it unless something in wrong with it like shift solenoid in the Tcase

Oops, haven't done that in a while, thread from the dead....I imagine it's unstuck by now...:)
