I have a 2008 Expedition that I bought last summer and everything was okay on it for almost a year.
This summer, the gas mileage is all of the sudden in the toilet.
Edmunds says it's supposed to get 14 mpgs

And it was getting that or better, but now it's getting 9ish, if that. It seems like every time I take it down the road I'm putting gas in it. It also has a ticking sound. The oil pressure is good, it's not overheating at all.
Someone on another forum suggested that it might have a dead cylinder but no one could really tell me how to check for that...ideas?
