I have a 6.4 that will not start. Drove it all around, parked, and 10 minutes later would not start or crank. Dash lights and head lights come on. The relay in the passenger kick panel clicks, but no crank. I jumped the wire at the connection next to the passenger battery and it cranks. It has started twice that way, but other times it just cranks and no start. It has a DPF delete and a single tune that was installed by an engineer buddy of mine.
I have gone through relays and fuses, and have found no issue. It was at the dealer for a day and they stated a new PCM was needed. I had it brought home after the guy who tuned it stated it did not sound like the PCM.
I followed a wiring diagram and all wires to the start solenoid in the battery junction box, and everything is getting voltage like it should from the OTIS diode, Power Junction Box, PCM, etc but the current isn't flowing out of terminal 87 down to the starter. But if I run 12V to terminal to 87, it cranks. I've bought 2 new relays and nothing works, but am going to the Ford dealer Monday to get an OEM relay.
I've tried being as descriptive and clear as possible, any questions please ask. Anyone have any thoughts or had this problem before?
