Well unless I missed something the $5000 rebate on the left over 2010's is gone as of today. Looks like Ford is telling the dealers they held out long enough to miss any real help from the motherland in moving the leftovers. would have been nice if they'd doubled it.

Well checked it again later this afternoon and the $5k is back.

Too bad it isn't $10000

I'm a total newbie. Never owned a Ford before and have always been weary of rebates and incentives.

Where do I find out about these rebates?

Is the best way to buy one of these trucks the X-Plan with stacked rebates/incentives?

I imagine there is a point where it will be cheaper and will make them more money to make the 2010 a used vehicle than try to add rebates to the new truck. I've seen 2010s used go for a lot more than I paid for mine new as people are not expecting rebates on a used vehicle.

I agree with Dim Sum. A little research will go a long way and I too have seen some used vehicles go for a lot more than what I paid for my 2010 so do your homework. Yes you can add a Ford Plan to the deal just work it in later do most of your wheeling and dealing up front and then tell them O yea I forgot to mention my Dad works for Ford Glass Plant and here's my A Plan number! That's what I did!

:)

They sales guy asked me why I didn't just tell him that in the first place and told him "hey your not the only one trying to work a deal here!" Your trying to work the sale and I'm trying to work the best deal!

problem is to sell as used they have to title it and then risk being in the used market. I have ten identified since Sept and none have sold. Biggest problem is they think if they hang on long enough they'll make a fortune.
