Discovered radio/player is out. Only thing comes up is time when push ON button pushed and then slowly fades out. Also when CD up/down arrow at player button pushed reads out No Disc Inserted. So not fuse, has juice.

Before I discovered this, smelled the burnt smell of brakes, was behind a truck, thinking HIS brake burning. I smelled burnt brakes before, so know that smell. As soon I passed that truck, no more smell. And no radio too! Now I wonder if radio really was cooking?

Anyone had similar issue?

Have ESP, so going to dealer in morning.

If new radio/player, reprogram cell ph on bluetooth, that's no fun.

Crystal, left truck at Ford dealer earliest this morning. Was only vehicle in service lane - early birds gets the worm. They provided courtesy shuttle home.

Later today, got call the radio power supply module bit the dust. New radio package tomorrow (Thursday), and they hope truck ready for pick up approx 4-4:30.

ESP minus deductible will take care of it.

Be glad to hear "Take Easy" by the Eagles. And I prob have to re-program to get cell phone blue tooth sync up again. No fun keying cell phone blue tooth.

Got call from dealer yesterday (Thursday), early PM, service mgr saying radio not come in the morning as they expected. Came in just before 3. Saying their radio tech might not get job done before 4:30. I told him to take time, do job and I pick up truck in morning (Friday).

Lo and behold, got call Thursday approx 4:15, said truck ready. Paid the ESP deductible, retrieved truck. Paperwork said replaced "ACM". Before I left, I asked Joel, the service mgr what does ACM means. He did not know. I took guess, told him maybe "Audio Control Module".

Radio bit working fine. Correct time too. Looks like retained all locked in fave stations. Wondered how that happened, but did not care.
Did not have a CD, so could not try that. I'm sure it's OK. At the dealer lot, no blue tooth tho, for cell phone pairing. When I got home, took cell phone and opened blue tooth, hit pairing, and then tried manual dial, it works, can talk n hear wife thru mic and speaker system. Then tried auto dial via voice command and it worked.

Happy camper.

But I still wondered why the radio failed? Prob never ever gonna found out. So keep on truckin'.
